Watching
flocks of sea birds fly over the deep ocean of Balayan Bay,
Batangas with sporadic dives every few minutes for a meal
of fish is an interesting sight. But flocks of sea brids means more
than a pretty scene to the deep sea fisherman. It also signifies
that schools of small fish are just below the surface of the waves...
trying to escape those feeders looming just below them. The huge
king fish (wahoo) and tuna, swimming in giant schools, are also
looking to feed. The deep sea sports fisherman knows what's happening
in this picture, and our boat captain gears up to troll several
artificial or bait lures to the school of tuna or other pelagic
fish so you can hunt for your trophy.
And
so, your Ocean Adventure begins.............
Or,
the calmer protected waters, just off of the shores of Anilao, Batangas,
beckon PADI certified divers as well as just plain
snorkelers. Here the Tridacna gigas (scientific name) or
giant clam resides, waiting for your visit to his home in the deep.
Your escort to his residence are the colorful reef fish, and spiny
lobsters. Swimming and cavorting right in front of your very eyes,
the play. The world beneath the waves is indeed lovely.
